About This Spot
Stepping into Gravity Worx feels like entering a thoughtfully curated retreat amid the snowy charm of Hakuba. The space greets you with a gentle hush, softened by abundant greenery and touched by the warmth of cherished ski and snowboard memorabilia that hints at the rich stories behind this mountain town. It’s a place where time slows just enough to savor the small moments, inviting you to linger over a meal that feels as personal as a shared secret.
This Italian haven is anything but ordinary. Here, familiar comforts like pizza and pasta take on a quietly inventive character, shaped by the rhythms and bounty of its local surroundings. The thin-crusted pizzas carry a subtle balance of smoky char and fresh, vibrant toppings that seem to echo the mountain air outside. Pastas arrive with thoughtful homegrown ingredients, gently coaxed into flavors both honest and unexpected, while desserts—like homemade pies and velvety cakes—offer a tender finish that is both nostalgic and new.

Gravity worx is a vegetarian friendly resturant we found in hakuba. The host was very friendly and explained all the dishes in in detail. We had Green salad, garlic and chilli pizza and tomato olive onion pizza and belgium chocolate cake. The food tasted extremely good and the pizzas were thin and a treat to the palate. Highly recommended

I loved eating here. Fantastic food, with lots of homegrown ingredients (and the best pizza crust outside of NYC). Also a super cute setting, with lots of plants and some awesome old-school ski and snowboard memorabilia. The owner is very sweet and welcoming, and puts an enormous amount of love into her food and restaurant.

We had a wonderful dinner here as a family of 7. The owner was absolutely lovely - so sweet, welcoming and full of stories. The food was amazing too. Very fresh. We loved hearing about the origins of the ingredients and how the meals were prepared. We had great pasta, pizza and AMAZING desserts. Highly recommend the Blueberry Pie (blueberries grown from a bush near restaurant). The portion sizes were perfect too. The ambience was very cool too - so many stories and things to look at. Clean and neat as well. The owner also kindly booked taxis to take us back to our accommodation. Highly recommend!!

Amazing little find.. Italian food however made Japanese style and all home grown. Hot wine was sublime and their pizza delicious. Owner is an amazing character, speaks great English. Must try when in Hakuba

I can't say enough good things about this Italian gem in Hakubacho, Hakuba Japan. The food was amazing!! From the starters, main course, to the deserts and drinks! The building has a very western cozy vibe, that is brilliantly decorated for the snow ski Town in which it's situated. The owner is a the sweetest beautiful soul that adds that miracle touch. Her stories and wisdom are priceless, and she makes you feel like you belong here. Sitting by the windows you can enjoy your amazing meal with picturesque views. 5 stars all day, everyday!

Best meal ever!! I visited at the end of October this year. The owner of this restaurant explained very thoroughly every dish she made with exquisite detail that made us just want to try everything on the menu! All the ingredients she uses are absolutely top notch and delicious. We had the pasta Bolognese, basil pasta (forgot the name), gorgonzola pasta, the pizza special of the day and chocolate cake for dessert with an espresso! Can't wait to come back the next time I'm back in Hakuba

What a gem of a place! The lovely older lady who owns the restaurant is absolutely amazing, so kind, chatty, and genuinely welcoming. She takes the time to explain the menu and proudly shares that many of the ingredients come straight from her own garden or local sources. The food was incredibly good, comforting, and truly homely. The atmosphere feels like a cozy Canadian lodge, with herbs drying everywhere and a warm, lived in charm. It feels less like a restaurant and more like being welcomed into someone’s home. Make sure to make a booking beforehand
